NORDAKADEMIE and its full-time lecturers feel themselves committed to research. For this reason, they conduct different kinds of research: based on theory and application, specialised and interdisciplinary. Very often this happens in collaboration with full-time or part-time colleagues at NORDAKADEMIE, with other universities, with the partner enterprises and others.
One of the key areas of concern of the researchers at NORDAKADEMIE is knowledge transfer. The aim is to enable other people and groups to benefit from the new information gained during research activities at the university. The students have the advantage that the new knowledge is included in the lectures and that they can become directly involved in research projects. The companies also benefit from the recommendations given by the experts at NORDAKADEMIE or from taking part in knowledge transfer events (workshops, talks). Last but not least, scientists benefit and also the public at large when the lecturers at NORDAKADEMIE University pass on their knowledge in talks and publications.
At the same time, research is not a one-way street at NORDAKADEMIE. In particular, companies and journalists are encouraged to approach NORDAKADEMIE staff if they have questions concerning specialist topics or ideas for research projects geared towards the needs of industry.
