Prof. Dr. Leo Brecht is Professor at the University of Ulm as well as Managing Director of University of Ulm’s Institute for Technology and Process Management, where he teaches on all academic levels. Additionally, he is also engaged as Associate Professor at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) where he lectures at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law (ES-HSG).

Professor Brecht publishes regularly on selected topics of process management, technology and innovation management as well as on issues of strategic management. His primary approach to research is to apply analytical methods to management problems.

Before returning to the academic world on a fulltime basis, he was CEO of Arthur D. Little Switzerland—the oldest management consulting firm in the world. Prior to that, he held senior management positions at Andersen Consulting, bearingpoint and AEG. With a personal background of more than 15 years of industry and consulting experience and the successful foundation of two companies, he is now also acting as advisor in several boards of medium-sized companies.

In 2000 Professor Brecht had been awarded the Latsis Price for the best Swiss Habilitation in that year.
